Padrograph #892, Chuck McElroy.  I got this signed through Chris Potter Sports who did a private signing.  Chuck pitched in 31 games for the Padres in 2001.

Padrographs #893, Wil Myers.  Wil is a former Rookie of the Year, but most of his time with the Padres has been on the injured list.  I got this Stadium Club on ebay.

Padrographs #894 & #895, Josh Johnson & Johnny Manziel.
Josh is about to have his third  Tommy John surgery.  I got this on ebay.  Johnny Manziel threw out the first pitch at a Padres game.  I got this fairly cheap on ebay.

Padrographs #896, Jay Franklin.  Jay played in 3 games for the Padres in 1971.  I got this custom signed through an autograph dealer.

Padrograph #891, Mike Johnson.  Mike pitched in 18 games for the Padres in 1974.  I love the Gremlin billboard outside  Wrigley Field.

Padrographs #887, Gabriel Quintana.  I sent about 20 cards to Gabriel and asked him to sign one and keep the other 19.  He kept one and sent the other nineteen back to me.
Padrographs #888, Kyle Lloyd.  I sent him 20 cards and asked him to sign one and keep the others.  He signed the one and kept the rest.
Padrographs #889, Don Mason.  I was doing some research about Padres signatures that I still need and found that I needed this Don Mason from 1972.  I ordered it from an autograph dealer.
Padrographs #890, Mike Dupree.  I found that I also needed Mike Dupree, so I ordered it also.

Padrograph #883, Derek Norris.  Derek came over in a trade from the Athletics this last offseason. It is an airbrushed card from this years opening day set.  I got this back in the mail.
Padrograph #884, Mauro Zarate.  Mauro played in the Marlins and Padres systems in the 2000's.  He never actually played for the Padres.  I got this from a Venezuelan dealer on eBay.
Padrograph #885, Fernando Perez. Signed by the Padres in 2012.  He is currently playing at Lake Elsinore.  I got this in the mail.
Padrograph #886, Kyle Lloyd.  Kyle was drafted by the Padres in the 29th round in 2013.  Currently playing at Lake Elsinore.  I got this signature through the mail.

Padrograph #879, Jake Bauers.  Jake was drafted by the Padres in the 7th round in 2013.  He is currently in the Tampa Bay system, being part of the three team trade that brought Wil Myers to the Padres.  Got this signed through mail.
Padrograph #880, Abraham Almonte.  Abraham was part of the trade that sent Seth Smith to the Mariners. Picked this up on eBay.
Padrograph #881, Agnes McKee.  Agnes threw out a  first pitch for the Padres last year.  I found an article about her and where she lived and sent her some cards and she signed two and returned them to me.
Padrograph #882, Nick Torres.  Nick was drafted by San Diego in 2014.  He and his wife helped me get my Emeralds set signed last year.  I got this signed through the mail.

Padrograph #877, Auston Bousfield.  Auston drafted by the Padres last year and played in Eugene and is currently playing at Lake Elsinore.  Despite the photo on the card he is actually an outfielder.  This is my second signature of Auston as he was a part of the Emeralds team set I made last year.  I received this in the mail.
Padrograph #878, Dave Wehrmeister.  Dave was drafted by the Padres in 1973 and made his major league debut in 1976. Pitching for the Padres 76-78, he would later pitch for the Yankees, Phillies and White Sox.  Purchased this from a dealer on ebay.

Padrographs #875, Frank Garces.  In the Padres system since 2011, Frank has pitched in the majors in 2014 and 2015.  Received through return mail in about a week.












Padrographs #876, R.J. Alvarez.  Traded from Angels to the Padres, pitched for the Padres in 2014 before being traded to the Athletics.  Received through return mail in about a week this year.

I have been continuing reading you all and keeping up.  I have been really busy at work getting ready for a two week shutdown that starts today.  That means two weeks of vacation for me.  I have also picked up a second job and that is keeping me busy.  Please I have book reviews over at readerman.us and kids and grandkid.  Plus my wife loves Craigslist and is always finding things for me to go pick up.  I have been writing to Padres and getting things back in the mail.
Padrograph #871, Steve Chavez.  Drafted in the 50th round of the 1994 draft, played 3 years with the Padres and 3 years Independent.  Purchased from an autograph dealer.
Padrograph #872, Seth Smith. Played in 136 games in 2014 before being traded to Seattle.  Received through return mail after long wait.
Padrograph #873, Tayron Guerrero.  In the Padres system since 2010.  Currently at San Antonio.  received through return mail in one week.
Padrograph #874, Leonel Campos.  Currently playing in El Paso.  In Padres system since 2010 received through return mail in one week.

First autograph of 2015

Sent this out to Jesse Hahn with the A's about a week and a half ago.  He was part of the trade that brought Derek Norris to the Padres.  I have sent about 5 cards out and this is the first one I have gotten back. This is card #870 in my collection.

Another custom signature

After getting Leon Everitt's signature through the autograph dealer I found an address for Van Kelly, another 1969 Padre without a card.  I found a picture of him and made this custom card of him.  The back was fun to make also, baseball reference and wikipedia were essential to the information on the back.  I sent the cards to him and asked him to sign the card for me.  I asked him to sign 5 and keep about 20 I made.  The cards made it there and back within a week and in the return mail also came the following note.
