Now the Padres go north to face the only team in the National League West with a worse record than themselves, the San Francisco Giants. Let's see if we can stay 4th place and not inhabit the cellar the rest of the year. The Sportster website predicts the Padres will win the series in 2024. That is the year I turn 67. That will be 49 years after I saw my first Padres game in person.

With roughly 10% of the season gone, it is projected that the Padres will win 60 games and lose 102. That should be good bad enough for a #1 pick. The Padres have had the first overall pick 5 times and chose the following, Mike Ivie, Dave Roberts, Billy Almon, Andy Benes and Matt Bush.
Cliff Floyd played in 10 games for the Padres in 2009 at the end of a seventeen year major league career. I have submitted this card to two or three private signings and this is the first one that actually happened. Cliff took part in Exposfest and it got signed there through PastPros.
I have long been a member of #BringBacktheBrown, so I decided to change the color of the dates. Also I am sorry but I think my cynicism for this season is beginning to show.
