Page 6 is sorta complete, Big Mac wins and moving onto page 7.

Thank you for the tips on how to find the cards I need for blank spots.  Willie McCovey destroyed Bip in the voting winning seventeen to two.  So this is what page six looks like for now.

Up for grabs is spot number fifty-five.  Two players with very sad stories.

Stan Jefferson had to quit playing baseball due to a career ending Achilles injury.  After his playing he joined the New York Police Department.  On September 11, 2001 he rushed to ground zero and worked on the recovery effort.  His health became so bad because of the conditions at ground zero that he had to retire from the NYPD.

Ken Caminiti was a great ballplayer who struggled with substance abuse.  In 2004 he died of a heart attack caused by his drug usage.  He will always be remember for his courageous performance in Mexico while playing for the Padres.

Remember a vote here is an entry in a contest in a few more pages.  Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your assistance.

Tough one. Voting for Jefferson since Caminiti has other cards in the set.

I'll also vote for Jefferson. '87 Topps has a soft spot in my collecting heart.

I'll go with the Caminiti. Always liked the look of those late '90s Flair cards.

That card of Caminiti is cool.

Happy Veteran's Day!

I've OD'd on '87 Topps. Caminiti.

Stan Jefferson is a hero. That makes this choice easy for me.

Caminiti for me, just a better looking card.

Jefferson for being a New York Met and a New York hero.

Thank you for sharing that Stan Jefferson story. I like Flair Showcase and collect Caminiti (go SJSU!), but I'm voting for Jefferson. That guy is a hero. I'm off to see if he has any autographs out there.
