He has won more World Series Championships than the Padres franchise.  Fred Lynn also has more World Series Championships than the Padres franchise.  He closed out his major league career with the Padres in 1990.

 The tally of the vote favored the oldest part of Petco Park.  Mike Maddux wasn't a factor at all receiving no votes.  Jeff Gardner received received four votes and the Western Metal Building received nine votes.  As GCRL pointed out it is actually card S8, but being that this is my sandbox I am going to allow it to stay.

Night Owl calls it

 Night Owl said it would be Tony Fernandez in a rout.  Bruce Hurst got one vote, Mejia got two, Cami got three and Fernandez got ten.  Up next is spot number fifty-eight.

First up is the Western Metal Supply Company Building.  If a ball hits the left side  of the building it is foul, the front it is a homerun.  You can see the table Punk Rock Paint and I sat at when we went to a game together seven years ago.  Fourth from the left on the upper balcony.  The Padres left the building where it was when they built the park.

Mike Maddux is half of a brother set that played for the Padres.  I think there have been eight sets of brothers who have played for the Padres.  

Jeff Gardner is a different looking Stadium Club card.

Stan Jefferson moves in

 Stan Jefferson won that battle eight to six.   Moving right along to the next spot, number fifty-six.  Two rookies from 2018 one who hopefully will be gracing the left side of the Padres infield for years and one who filled in around the infield in 2018 and has been playing in Japan for the last two seasons.

 Thank you for the tips on how to find the cards I need for blank spots.  Willie McCovey destroyed Bip in the voting winning seventeen to two.  So this is what page six looks like for now.

Stan Jefferson had to quit playing baseball due to a career ending Achilles injury.  After his playing he joined the New York Police Department.  On September 11, 2001 he rushed to ground zero and worked on the recovery effort.  His health became so bad because of the conditions at ground zero that he had to retire from the NYPD.

Ken Caminiti was a great ballplayer who struggled with substance abuse.  In 2004 he died of a heart attack caused by his drug usage.  He will always be remember for his courageous performance in Mexico while playing for the Padres.

So all the battles are complete with Trent Grisham beating out Trevor Hoffman for a spot on page five which looks like this. Bip Roberts and his sombrero are on both pages four and five.  Surprisingly the two cards have different numbers on them.  

On page six the first spot, card number forty-six is blank.  I could not find a card in my collection with number forty-six on it.  So if you know of a Padres card that is number forty-six, please let me know.

The only battle for page six is for the number forty-eight spot.  We are almost halfway to the ninety-nine spot.  Card forty-eight is a battle between another Hall of Famer and a blogging icon.  Normally according to the rules I set up Bip Roberts would have automatically gone into the spot, but I decided that this one needed your assistance. 

My first ever Padres game was while I was in Navy Boot Camp in San Diego in the summer of 1975.  They took a couple of companies from the Recruiting Station and took us to a Padres game.  All I remember was that Willie McCovey was playing first in that game. So here are the cards battling for the number forty-eight spot.

Kennedy is Elected! All is well

 Well all is well in my Phrankenset, we will just have to wait and see how that other election plays out.  Oh and Bo won the ballot box at A Cracked Bat.  Poor Nick Hundley got no votes, Marvell got five and Terry Kennedy won the spot with seven votes. 

Next up are two players who didn't play for the Padres pandemic team.  Jedd played in forty-two games for the Brewers this year and Pedro still seems to be signed by the Padres but didn't play at all this year.

 Someone asked about the Paul Quantrill card on page three.  He played in twenty-two games for the Padres in 2005.  The card is from a team issued Upper Deck set. 

 Here is page four after the balloting was completed.  Valdez got eight votes, Santiago got seven and Boch got one.

It is amazing the way people vote when you talk about a personal connection with a player.  So here is my personal connection with some of the players on this page. 

 I watched Bip Roberts play High School Baseball, Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball.  I talked to him a few times when he was at AAA about people from his high school that I knew. 

My younger son, who will be thirty-one in eleven days is named after Dave Dravecky.  We have met and spoken with Dave a couple of times and somewhere I have a photo of the two Daves together.  

One night after a Beavers game some of the players for the Las Vegas Stars didn't want to cram into the team van so I offered to give them a ride to the hotel.  Rafael Valdez was the only player I remember. 

Here is the first battle of page five. 

It is a three way battle between a couple of catchers and an outfielder.  One of the three was born just down the road in Corvallis, Oregon.

Wil Myers wins! Page 3 update and first page 4 battle

Wil Myers Bowman card beat out the other Wil Myers card.  Good point by many of you that if it says Jackie Robinson Day on the card there ought to be some indication that it actually was from that day. With the voting completed for page three here is how the page looks. 

Sitting in the number nineteen hole as he should be is Tony Gwynn. He is followed by the King of Bipping, Bip Roberts.  Next up is the legendary Ken Caminiti.  Greg Booker was the son-in-law of Padres General Manager Jack McKeon who infamously trade him away.  One of two father-son combos who played for the Padres put in an appearance.  Xavier Nady VI, seems to be a hitting coach at this time.  Benito Santiago is who I think of when I think of Padres catchers.  Will Wil still be with the Padres next year?

Here is the first battle of page four.  I have a soft spot for Rafael Valdez as he was one of a group of Padres minor leaguers I gave a ride to once.  I think the Benito Santiago Rated Rookie is an iconic card.  Bruce Bochy may someday be inducted into the Hall Of Fame, unfortunately likely as a Giant.

A laser focused victory, A New Padrograph and a new battle

With a laser focus Ken Caminiti easily won the battle for spot number twenty-one.  Chris Paddack only managed one vote to Cammies eleven votes.  

Yesterday when I got home I found a card that I had sent to a private signing many months ago had returned to enter its rightful spot in the the first volume of my Padrographs binder.  It is Padrograph #1222.

Manny finished out his eleven year major league career playing in thirty-two games for the Padres in 2005 and 2006.  

 Now for the battle for the last spot on page three.  Please for Wil Myers.  At first I thought that the two cards had the same photo, but they are from different games.  I can't decide which one to use so I am turning to you for your assistance.  Vote Bowman or Jackie Robinson.
