About the player: Gettys was drafted in the second round of the 2014 by the Padres. He played as an outfielder in the Padres until 2019. He didn't play anywhere in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the Pandemic. He elected free agency after the season and signed with the Red Sox and became a pitcher in their system. In 2023 he had surgery for a herniated disc and became a free agent.
