In doing research for the backs of the cards I find a few stories that are heart wrenching and some that are hard to believe. Jay Franklin was heart wrenching and Manny Seonae was hard to believe.

Wow, those were two very sad stories!
I think why I like Topps Big League so much is they have fun factoids on the back of each card. I miss cartoons and oddities of yesteryear on the back of cards.
If I were writing something for the back of Seonae's card it probably something like, "Seonae was good friends with Mark Lemongello, who oddly enough didn't like Mark Lemongello, Peter Lemongello or lemon jello." Not necessarily true, but light-hearted!
A singer, a bowler, and a baseball player. I'm wondering what the other family members did for a living.
Never heard of Manny Seonae but I did know Mark Lemongello. Had no clue about that whole coup they were involved in, though.
Love the Larry Yount custom as well. From what I know about him, he had to have had the shortest big-league career ever (one warmup pitch!).
Dang. Hope this isn't the last post I read before going to bed. Both of those stories were truly sad.
