Padrograph #1028

Nick Noonan played in 7 games for the Padres in 2016.  He is currently at AAA Colorado Springs for the Brewers.

Of all the Padres that have had Topps  cards so far this year I am only missing a signed card from Edwin Jackson.

Game Recap 4.19.17 (6-10, 4 GB, tied for 4th)

With roughly 10% of the season gone, it is projected that the Padres will win 60 games and lose 102.  That should be good bad enough for a #1 pick.  The Padres have had the first overall pick 5 times and chose the following, Mike Ivie, Dave Roberts, Billy Almon, Andy Benes and Matt Bush.

Cliff Floyd played in 10 games for the Padres in 2009 at the end of a seventeen year major league career.   I have submitted this card to two or three private signings and this is the first one that actually happened.  Cliff took part in Exposfest and it got signed there through PastPros.

I have long been a member of #BringBacktheBrown, so I decided to change the color of the dates.  Also I am sorry but I think my cynicism for this season is beginning to show.

Padrograph #1026

Michael Kelly was a non roster invitee to the Padres major league camp.  He was drafted by the Padres in 2011.  He pitched in AAA last year and right now he is in San Antonio at AA.  I talked to Michael a few years ago when he was playing for the Eugene Ems a few years ago.  I mailed this to him at the beginning of Spring Training and got it back today.  I have now received 33% of this batch of cards back.  Still haven't heard from Jered Weaver, Trevor Cahill, Johnny Washington and Alan Zinter.

A bunch of new Padrographs takes me up 1025

This week I received some customs back and some cards I purchased from ebay.  This batch brings me to 1025 unique Padrographs.

Cory Burns pitched in 17 games for the Padres in 2012.  This is a custom that I made and got signed through an autograph dealer.

Jarred Cosart pitched in nine games for the Padres in 2016.  He is on the roster at this point in Spring Training.  He has been in the majors since 2013 and has played for the Astro's and Marlins.  I picked this up on Ebay.

Reggie Lawson was drafted by the Padres in the second round of the 2016 draft.  He is only nineteen years old so it will probably be a few years before we see him at Petco Park. This is a 2016 Bowman I found on Ebay.

Justin Leone played in one game for the Padres in 2006, he had one plate appearance and one at bat.  He played in 2004 for the Mariners.  This is a custom that I made and got signed through an autograph dealer.

Scott Patterson pitched in three games for the Padres in 2008 and one game for the Yankees that year.  He has no wins and no losses in his major league career, and has 1.93 ERA. Another custom that I got signed.

Pete Coscarart played for the Padres from 1946 to 1949.  He played for the Dodgers and Pirates from 1938 to 1946.  I picked this up through an autograph dealer.

Ryan Schimpf was a 28 year old rookie last year who played in 89 games for the Padres last year.  He was named to the Topps All Rookie Team and is due to be playing for the Padres again this year.  2017 Topps Heritage that I got from Ebay.

Mason Thompson was drafted by the Padres in the third round of the 2016 draft.  He just turned nineteen in February so it will be a few years before we see him on a major league mound.  This is a 2016 Bowman that I found on Ebay.

Ron Tingley played in eight games for the Padres in 1982, he didn't return to the majors until 1988.  He played eight more years in the majors with Cleveland, California, Florida, the White Sox and Detroit.  This is a custom that I got signed through an autograph dealer.

Xavier Rescigno, played for the Padres in 1948 after he previously played for the Pirates from 1943-1945.
