This card is from around the first time I met Bip. It was when the Las Vegas Stars would come to Portland to play the Beavers. The Stars were the Padres AAA club and the Beavers were the Twins AAA I think. Back then in Civic Stadium you could talk directly to the players and it was easy to interact with them. I would go the series and talk with the players, take pictures of them and have them sign. It was much easier to talk with them. Remember the custom card contest.
