Josh Banks could have been a quarterback, he was offered a scholarship to be quaterback for Ohio State University. He was drafted by the Orioles in 2000 but did not sign. He attended Florida International University and was drafted in 2003 by the Toronto Blue Jays. He made it to the majors in 2007 with the Blue Jays, and they waived him in April, 2008. The Padres picked him off waivers and inserted him into the lineup, after pitching for awhile for the Portland Beavers. He pitched 22 innings before giving up a hit.The card is from 2008 Stadium Club and I won it in an auction last and just got it today. It would be nicer if it was directly on the card, I am not a big fan of sticker autographs.

He pitched in Portland for a little bit before being called up to the Padres. I saw Portland play in Salt Lake City this past May and was disappointed to find out that Banks had just been called up. I had a couple of Blue Jay cards of him that I wanted signed.
