Padrograph #1214 and the penultimate Frankenset update

 

Padrograph #1214, Skip Schumaker.  Skip was the first base coach for the Padres for a couple of years and now is the associate manager for Jayce Tingler.  I sent this to someone in San Diego a couple of years ago and Skip for some refused to sign until this spring training.

I received twenty five cards from an ebay dealer and thought I had finished the Frankenset, but when I put them in the binder I found I was still missing two cards.  I ordered them and hope to have them in hand soon to finish the set.  585 autographed cards.  I need to update the Frankenset page.  I will let you know when I do that.  

First Set build since 1989.

I have decided to build a set from 2020.  I like the photography and it is a smallish set.  

This is just an example of the photography in the set.  This reminds me of what the flagship set was when I started collecting in 1985. Simple cards with interesting backs.  I have posted my want list here.

I also have some items that I will trade for the cards on the list.  Let me know what you have and what you would like below.  Also I have a few dupes so let me know what you are looking for or direct me to your want list.  

An Upgrade to Padrograph #1183, New Padrograph #1213 and a Frankenset Update

Padrograph #1183, Mike Hargrove.  I had an overlay on a Cleveland card, but the Human Rain Delay was doing a private signing so I rounded up this 1979 Hostess card and sent it in.  I got it back last Monday.  The Trove Sports Den had the signing and did a great job.  I have one with them for a custom Dave Stewart Padres card right now. 

Padrograph #1213, Mike Aldrete.  Mike played in 12 games for the Padres in 1991.  I got this through Jeff Fedorko in a private signing.  If you are looking for autographs in Private Signings, there is a facebook group called Baseball Private Signings that has a lot. 

I got five more cards for my autograph Frankenset.  That leaves me 28 I think.  I have them on their way here.  When I finish this autograph Frankenset.  Then I will work on a 2020 set and then when that is complete I will start on my Padres Frankenset and arranging my Tony Gwynn cards.
