John Fischer was a well known artist at the beginning of contemporary Christian music. Sometimes he is credited with having the first CCM album released. In the late 70's I helped promote a concert of his in Oakland, CA. He was a nice guy and I was really into his music for awhile. He seems to have more of an author later in his career.
Just one card added to the Frankenset this week. I didn't have a card from Renata Galasso in the Frankenset so I found this one, which fills spot #223. Tony Cuccinello played from 1930-1945 for a variety of teams in both leagues.

The Judds were one of the biggest attractions in country music in the eighties and nineties. They won five Grammy's and eight Country Music Association awards. They conducted a farewell tour in 1991 shortly after Naomi (Mom, with the hat on the card) was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. Wynonna continued on our her own for years, never really achieving the success they had as a duo. The third member of the family is actress Ashley Judd.
My wife and I went to see the Judds in their farewell concert at Portland's Memorial Coliseum. Pirates of the Mississippi opened and then T.G. Shepard, both of which we missed. We got to our seats as they were setting the stage for the third act, a newcomer named Garth Brooks. Wow, what a performance. I remember him giggling all the way through Friends in Low Places as the entire crowd sang along. The Judds were almost a let down after the high energy of Garth's set.
Today there is no trade stack. I have several teams that I don't collect that I have fifty or more cards of and I would like to find a good home for them. This is a gift from me to you. Utah Governor Gary Herbert only took nine days to respond to my request. Unfortunately he is one of the Governors whose staff did not read the directions. I chose this photo because the Governor is wearing a jersey and hat of the minor league Salt Lake City Bees, a team that used to be the Portland Beavers.
The last weeks have been absolutely crazy and so I have been slow in posting. This weeks Padrographs a couple of through the mail custom cards. Jeremy of Topps Cards That Never Were created a set of 1995 Padres replacement players and I found an address for (Padrograph #1186) Jim Campanis Jr. and sent him this card. He never "officially" played in the majors, but he was a replacement player for the Padres. It only took thirty eight days to get to him and return.
Padrograph #1187, Dan Serafini, took a little longer to return to me. I sent the cards to Dan in January of this year and received them back on December 15, so three hundred and forty two days. Dan had a seven year major league career, but only played in three games for the Padres in 2000. He also appeared in eleven games for the Pirates in 2000.
The newest addition to the trade stack is this 1976 Topps Rookie Card of Phoenix Suns center Alvan Adams. Alvan was the NBA rookie of the year and played until 1988. He is currently the VP of Facility Maintenance for the Suns Arena. Someone gave me this in the early 80's.
