I am currently working on a project that I hope comes to fruition next season. I am looking for silly strange and unusual baseball cards. So far I have found these, but I am sure there are many more. If you have a nominee for the silly card collection please leave a note in the comments or you can email me at padrographs at live dot com. Thank you for your assistance.
I think you should add the ‘98 Topps Jeff Montgomery with him wearing a fire helmet. Next time I look through the nickel boxes at the new card shop in town, I’ll keep an eye out for some good ones.
I've been keeping a list of silly cards myself for a potential banner on my blog. Among some others I've found are the 2010 Topps #1 Prince Fielder, 1992 Triple Play #80 Roger McDowell, 1995 Pinnacle #128 Ken Griffey Jr, 1996 Upper Deck #434 Al Martin, and 1998 Fleer Ultra #171 Steve Kline. Good luck with your project!
That one Bob Hamlin? If you're willing to go PG-13, plenty of funny cards of guys named Richard who go by a shorter nickname. And I think there are at least a couple more "big glove" cards out there. '69 Topps bat boy card.
