the goose is loose

Goose Gossage took it to the competition.  He had ten votes, while poor Carmelo only got one vote and the etopps card of Xavier Nady got six votes.  Up next is spot number seventy.  A three way battle between a reliever and a couple of catchers.  Brad Hand in mid delivery, Tom Lampkin digging for third at Wrigley Field and Benito Santiago getting a new ball from the Umpire against the Giants.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your assistance.

  1. I agree with John, the Brad Hand is best here. That Benito could have been great but the cropping is too funky for my tastes (I prefer my ballplayers to have their heads attached).

  2. The Hand might be the best, but it will take more than that to keep me from voting for Benito!

  3. I love 80's score, so Lampkin gets my vote.

  4. Voting for Lampkin. Always rooted for him.

  5. Lampkin. I remember having that little Score set back in the day. Don't see those much these days.

  6. I agree that Hand is the best card.

  7. I am going with the Benito Santiago card for this spot in your collection.

  8. I think I have to go Lampkin. You don't often see that kind of head-on photo of a player running the bases, and the fact that it's a catcher makes it even more unique.

  9. Benito! I don't care for the design but like the interaction btwn him and the ump! It's BS for me. lol.

  10. I like the Lampkin. An obscure player with a unique pose and facial expression.

  11. Lampkin. Great action + nice simple design + Wrigley's Ivy goes well with the green at top and bottom.

  12. Going with Brad...when in doubt, go with the parallel.

  13. Gotta go with the hot Hand--a parallel no less!

  14. Going with Lampkin. Base running shots are still relatively rare and this one's the most action-packed of the 3.

  15. Speaking of rare, I'll go with the Benito. You don't see umpires on cards very often or them handing a ball to the catcher.

  16. The head-on running angle of Lamokin gets my vote.
