Pedro got one vote to Jedd's twelve. I want to share my favorite vote with you.
Come and listen to my story about a man named Jedd
A San Diego Padre, swung at balls above his head,
Then one day his card showed up on the 'net
And now he gets my vote for the Frankenset!
Rod's that is, Padrographs, A to Z...
Up next are two guys I bet you have never heard of. Jeremy Hernandez and Michel Baez.
When I don't know the players, the set design and/or the individual photo is how I determine my vote. In both cases, it has to be the 1992 Upper Deck card that wins here!
ReplyDeleteGotta vote for a fellow Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteHa! I hope I haven't set some impossibly high standard for comments now. I don't think I can come up with a TV theme song for this pair! I'm going to give my vote to the San Diego scoreboard behind Jeremy Hernandez and his sweet freshman-year mustache!
ReplyDeleteThat old school pose on the UD card is a classic!
ReplyDeleteGlass to see old Jedd won the popular vote.
Good Job. 👍
That was an awesome comment!
ReplyDeleteGoing with Hernandez, because there was a Jeremi Hernandez who pitched for the Cubs. Kinda close.
Of these two unknowns, I will cast my vote for Jeremy Hernandez. Pretty nice shot with the scoreboard over his shoulder.
ReplyDeleteCheesy pose Hernandez gets my vote.
ReplyDeletethere probably won't be too many cards featuring pitchers wearing batting gloves, so i'll vote for hernandez.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, neither name rings a bell. Gotta go Hernandez for the odd angle and good look at the scoreboard.
ReplyDeleteHernandez for me. It's cool!
ReplyDeleteBaez was a huge international signing a few years back, but Hernandez gets my vote as well. You'd think we'd all have seen every card from '92 Upper Deck, but I can't remember seeing this one before.
ReplyDeleteHad to go back and see who wrote that comment. Hats off to Matt. Very creative. Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Toyota, and NEC @ Jack Murphy gets my vote.
