Steve Garvey wins ten to three over the unique Fleer Focus card. Up next is spot fifty-nine. I had ordered three cards for the spot but one is not going to get here until Black Friday so it has taken itself out of the running. Trea Turner was traded in a three way trade that brought Wil Meyers to the Padres. He has won more World Series Championships than the Padres franchise. Fred Lynn also has more World Series Championships than the Padres franchise. He closed out his major league career with the Padres in 1990.
Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your assistance. A vote is an entry in the contest that will happen after another forty cards are placed in the Phrankenset.
Voting for Turner
ReplyDeleteMustache era fred lynn gets my vote. Lynn has the same number of ws championships as the padres.
ReplyDeleteI'm going Fred Lynn.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I think I like the Turner here.
ReplyDeleteI'll say Turner...a prospect card of an actual prospect (sorry if the trade depresses you though)
ReplyDeleteI love 90 Classic no matter whos on it, AND it's Fred Lynn!
ReplyDeleteTurner because there's actually a big "#59" on the front, and because that Classic design is, um, unappealing to the eye.
ReplyDeleteLynn. Love the 1990 Classic design and the bright colors. Plus was a fan of Lynn when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteVoting for Lynn - I'm convinced if he never left the Red Sox he would have carved out a Hall of Fame career. (His swing was perfect for Fenway!)
ReplyDeleteTurner for me. The Classic card is a bit of an eye sore.
ReplyDeleteI did not realize that Trea Turner started in the Padres system, so my vote will go with this card.
ReplyDeleteGotta go with Lynn - those Classic borders are crazy (but great!).
ReplyDeleteI was going to go with Turner just because that Padres hat was not photoshopped right at all ... but then I saw Lynn as a Padre and that's just weird, so weird Lynn on weird Classic card wins.
ReplyDeletebright yellow Lynn! it's an eye popper!
