Blaine Neal was drafted by the Marlins in 1996 and is currently playing for the Camden Riversharks. He had a 5 season major league career playing with the Fish, the Friars, the Bosox and the Rocks. He played 40 games for the Padres in 2004 in long relief. He was traded to Boston for
Adam Hyzdu. This team issued Upper Deck set is the only card I know of him in a San Diego uniform.
Robert Augustus Nelson was drafted by the Astros, Braves and A's, the only one he signed with was the A's. He played parts of the '86-'87 seasons with the A's before being sent to San Diego as part of a trade for Storm Davis. He played parts of four seasons in San Diego, traveling between Vegas and San Diego. I got to see him play several times in Portland, which is where I got him to sign this at a game. ( I think).
