Derrek Leon Lee was drafted by the Padres in 1993 and made his major league debut with the Padres in 1997. After one year he went to Florida for several years before being traded to the Cubs. He has played first base for the Cubs since 2004. I got this signed card off of eBay. Leron Lee is the uncle of Derrek Lee, he played for the Padres from 1971-1973. Later in his career he went to Japan and played from 1977-1987, where he was one of the first Americans to play for that long. I got the 1974 Padres card signed through the mail.

I read somewhere if your father was a major leaguer, you have a 1000 times better chance than the average person to become a major leaguer, I guess that goes for uncles too.
