Sterling Alex Hitchcock was the 1998 National League Championship Series. After that though it was all downhill for the Padres as the Yankees swept them in 4 games in the World Series. He won a World Series ring three years later with the Yankees. He played 13 years in the majors, 7 with the Yankees, 6 with the Padres and 1 each with St. Louis and Seattle. He played two different times with both the Padres and the Yankees. I got this Mothers Cookie card signed through the mail.
